Kleinwalsertal – Tyrol

The Kleinwalsertal in Austria is approximately an 800 kilometer drive from the Netherlands. Here you will find more than 120 kilometers of slopes and 32 lifts. The ski area is located at an altitude of 800 to 2200 meters. The ski area is very snow-sure in March. There is sufficient natural snow throughout the ski season for excellent snow conditions. Due to its northern location in the Alps and the location of the valley, the Kleinwalsertal is a Schneeloch and gets a lot of snow in winter. If there is not enough snow, snow cannons can make up for this shortage. The ski season runs from early December to mid-April, sometimes with good snow conditions the area remains open until May 1.

Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel’s most famous descent is the Hahnenkamm. In total, Kitzbühel has more than 173 kilometers of slopes and the maximum height difference is 1200 meters. The entire area has 46 ski lifts. Between 2008 and 2014, the ski area was open for winter sports 130 days a year. Partly because of this, the Silvretta Montafon is a snow-sure ski area in March. The Silvretta Montafon ski area is located at an altitude of 700 meters to 2450 meters. The maximum height difference is over 1700 meters. The distance from Utrecht is 840 kilometers, making the area relatively close.

Diedamskopf – Vorarlberg

From Utrecht it is approximately a 837 kilometer drive to the Diedamskopf ski area. Here you will find more than 44 kilometers of slopes. Due to its northern location in the Alps and the fact that most ski slopes start from 1500 meters, the ski area is guaranteed snow in March. The total altitude of the ski area is between 800 and 2100 meters. There are several ski routes on the mountain and the longest is 12 kilometers. The area is not the largest in terms of piste kilometers, but is therefore suitable for families and beginners.
